WeightWatchers files for bankruptcy: CEO addresses what it means for members: EXCLUSIVE

Attorneys working with ClassAction.org are looking into whether a class action lawsuit can be filed in light of the SogoTrade data breach.

As part of their investigation, they need to hear from individuals who received a notice stating they were impacted.

SogoTrade, Inc. announced a data breach impacting 48,696 people after a phishing email containing malware compromised four employee email accounts. The SogoTrade data breach occurred between approximately May 8 and May 22, 2024, potentially exposing personal information such as names, financial account numbers, Social Security numbers and tax identification numbers.

The company, which provides investment products, online trading platforms and market research tools, became aware of the unauthorized email access around March 18, 2025. SogoTrade stated that it had contained and remediated the incident and had engaged an external firm to investigate.

If your information was exposed in the data breach, attorneys want to hear from you. You may be able to start a class action lawsuit to recover compensation for loss of privacy, time spent dealing with the breach, out-of-pocket costs, and more.

A successful case could also force Sogotrade to ensure it takes proper steps to protect the information it was entrusted with.

Impacted Data:

• Social Security Number

• Financial Account Number

• Name

• Tax ID Number
