
A joint operation by the Scott County Narcotics Task Force and the Rankin County Sheriff’s Department on Monday, June 16, led to a major drug bust in the Branch community and multiple felony charges for two individuals.
Authorities arrived at a residence on 88 Steel-B Road to serve an arrest warrant on Joe Lewis Alexander. While at the scene, agents developed probable cause to obtain a search warrant for the property. The resulting search uncovered a significant quantity of illegal drugs.
Agents seized multiple controlled substances, leading to serious felony charges for both individuals at the residence.
Quintette Epting has been charged with Trafficking of Oxycodone, Trafficking of Ecstasy (MDMA), Trafficking of Psilocybin mushrooms, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Methamphetamine.
Joe Lewis Alexander faces the same charges, in addition to Possession of a weapon by a convicted felon (3 counts).
Alexander is still at large and is currently wanted by both the Scott and Rankin County Sheriff’s Departments. Authorities urge anyone who sees him or has information on his whereabouts to contact the Scott County Sheriff’s Department at 601-469-1511.
