Travis Decker, suspect in child murder case may be near Pacific Crest Trail in Okanogan County

OKANOGAN COUNTY, Wash. – The Chelan County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating the murder of three children, allegedly by Travis Decker, who remains at large.

Authorities say they now believe Decker may be in Okanogan County, specifically near the Pacific Crest Trail.CCSO has been actively investigating the case and executing search warrantson properties and electronic devices linked to Decker.

Residents, especially those in remote areas of Okanogan County, are advised to stay alert.Decker is considered dangerous and possibly armed.

Okanogan County Sheriff Paul D. Budrow emphasized the importance of community vigilance, advising residents to lock all doors and windows, keep blinds open, and leave exterior lights on at night.

Authorities suspect Decker might be near the Pacific Crest Trail. Residents are urged not to approach him and to call 911 immediately if he is seen.
