The View co-host Joy Behar was left stunned when executive producer Brian Teta admitted he’d ‘looked into’ taking out a restraining order against her
Getting a restraining order from your coworker isn’t typical watercooler chat, but it came up on The View when Joy Behar humorously suggested her colleague might need one from her.
On Wednesday’s episode of The ViewJoy – who is vocal about her dislike of Donald Trump – was teased about her sometimes volatile rapport with executive producer Brian Teta, leading to an unexpected twist during the show.
The hosts were chatting with comedian Joy about a spike in no-contact orders on university campuses, hinting at a possible trend toward conflict avoidance among students.

Joy jokingly insinuated, “Sure, it’s like me and Brian. He could take out a restraining order against me, right?”
Brian was then spotted off-camera giving a tongue-in-cheek admission: “I’ve looked into it.”, reports the Express US.
Brian frequently ribs the hosts for being challenging colleagues. When they once discussed whether artificial intelligence could threaten jobs, he retorted that no AI could deal with them.
“I figured mine was pretty fine because what computer could handle you guys?” he teased, eliciting a playful rebuke from Whoopi Goldberg: “You work an hour a day! What are you talking about?”.
Joy jumped to his defense, reminding everyone, “But that is some hour…” which led Brian to reveal some humorous yet “shockingly good” counsel from an AI regarding how to soothe Joy.
According to his reading, the advice given was, “It said, ‘Lead with humor. But don’t go with slapstick or corny jokes.’ She doesn’t like those,” Clearly, those aren’t Joy’s cup of tea.
“‘Let her vent. Occasionally nod, listen, and say, ‘you’re absolutely right,’ which is one of my moves. Bring up politics, but only if you’re aligned with her; otherwise, run away. Compliment her standup past. She likes that. And then finally, hand her a cannoli,” he continued.
The surprise came when he presented Joy with a platter of cannolis, prompting an outburst of laughter from the audience and panel members.
Following Brian’s advice, the comedian concurred, remarking: “They can’t replace us. Not this hair color, anyway.”
