Tazewell County issues alert for missing 76-year-old man last seen on May 23

At the request of the Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office, the Illinois State Police is activating an Endangered Missing Person Advisory.

The Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s assistance in locating James Leach, a 76-year-old white male, who is 5 foot 10 inches and weighs 132 pounds.

James has gray hair and wears eyeglasses. He is wearing a light-colored button up shirt and cutoff jeans. He was last seen at the corner of Spring Creek Road and Hickory Grove Lane at 12:00 p.m. on May 23. James was driving a silver 2025 Honda Ridgeline pickup with Illinois B truck plate, SNSGOLF.

Mr. Leach has a condition that places him in danger. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of James Leach should contact the Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office at 309-620-0710 or call 911
