2. Call for Abstracts: Conference on Advancing Social, Economic, and Cultural Rights in a Polarised, Digitalised, and Unequal World. The Netherlands Network for Human Rights Research (NNHRR) working group on social rights is inviting abstracts for a conference on ‘Advancing Social, Economic, and Cultural Rights in a Polarised, Digitalised, and Unequal World’ to be held at Leiden University on 4 – 5 September 2025, in collaboration with NNHRR. This conference takes place at a time of renewed momentum for social rights. By fostering collaboration across disciplines and jurisdictions, the conference seeks to generate both scholarly and societally relevant contributions to the advancement of ESCR. 3. Call for Papers: TDM Special Issue – One Century of Arbitration in the United States – The Federal Arbitration Act at Home and Abroad. Editors Björn Arp and Kiran Nasir Gore are inviting proposals for a TDM Special Issue on One Century of Arbitration in the United States: The Federal Arbitration Act at Home and Abroad. To celebrate the FAA’s centenary, this Special Issue seeks to present varied views from within the U.S. and abroad. The Special Issue will be divided into two thematic parts: the first focusing on the FAA’s development and impact within the U.S., and the second part focusing on international dimensions. Some suggested topics are outlined in the call for papers and we welcome submissions that address these and other relevant issues. Find more information here.

4. King’s College London and Volterra Fietta London International Boundary Conference 2025. King’s College London and Volterra Fiettaare hosting the London International Boundary Conference for the seventh occasion (“LIBC”) on 12 – 13 June 2025. Inaugurated in April 2013, the LIBC is an international gathering of scholars and professionals dedicated to furthering multidisciplinary approaches to complex territorial and boundary disputes. International Law Stories Book Launch.On 20 June, 4pm – 5:30pm, the University of Oxford’s Blavatnik School of Government is hosting the launch of International Law Stories (2nd ed), edited by John E. Noyes, Laura A. Dickinson, Mark Weston Janis and Carlos M. Vázquez. This book examines certain international law cases in their social, political, and historical contexts, revealing the characters, plots and surprises behind well-known judgments.
