NCBA to Rebroadcast “Basics of Bankruptcy” CLE Featuring Attorneys Jameson Doub and Lily Faulconer

Attorneys looking to build or refresh their knowledge of bankruptcy law will have another opportunity to do so when the North Carolina Bar Association rebroadcasts its “Basics of Bankruptcy” CLE on Monday, May 12.

The program features creditors’ rights attorneys Jameson double and Lily Faulconerwho bring valuable insight into creditors’ rights and bankruptcy practice in North Carolina. Designed for both new attorneys and those looking to expand their practice areas, the course covers fundamental concepts of bankruptcy law and practice, including chapters 7, 11, and 13, the role of trustees, the automatic stay, and how creditors should respond when a debtor files for bankruptcy.

Jameson and Lily’s session focuses on “Bankruptcy From the Creditor’s Perspective.”This section addresses common creditor issues, including the impact of the automatic stay, filing a proof of claim, possible objections to a Chapter 13 plan or Chapter 11 plan, and navigating the discharge and its exceptions.

This CLE is part of the NCBA’s foundational series, aimed at giving attorneys a well-rounded understanding of core legal topics, including consumer bankruptcy 101 and business bankruptcy 101.
