
At Home is closing more than two dozen stores nationwide after the popular home goods chain filed for bankruptcy.
Court documents indicated that “broader economic and retail-specific market pressures” — including rising interest rates, inflation and increased tariffs — led At Home to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
The Texas-based retailer now said it will close 26 “underperforming” stores by Sept. 30. Among these stores are At Home’s Shrewsbury and Dedham locations.

As part of the bankruptcy filing, At Home will transfer its ownership to a group of hedge funds and investment firms based in New York City, New York and San Francisco, California, according to an online press release.
