K9 drug bust last day before retiring

LONDON, Ky. (WYMT) – K9 Jack with the London Police Department made a big drug bust the day before his retirement, on June 12.

Mark Webb, 54, and Teresa Vaughn, 52, both of London were arrested, after officers saw the two driving on KY-192 without seatbelts on.

Officers said they also found items associated with drug use. They said K9 Jack was sent to the car and gave a positive alert for illegal drugs in the vehicle.

In the car officers said they found cash, a substance believed to be meth, and other drug paraphernalia.

Webb was charged with trafficking in controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to wear a seat belt.

Vaughn was charged with trafficking in controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to wear seat belt, and operating on a suspended or revoked license.
