Halle Bailey Granted Temporary Sole Custody of Son Halo, Judge Issues Restraining Order Against DDG

Halle Bailey has been granted temporary sole legal and physical custody of her 17-month-old son, Halo Saint, following disturbing allegations against her ex-boyfriend, rapper and Twitch personality DDG (real name Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr.).

According to court documents obtained by PEOPLEthe Little Mermaid actress requested sole custody earlier this year after alleging DDG was physically and emotionally abusive. A judge approved the temporary custody request along with a temporary restraining order, which requires DDG to stay at least 100 yards away from both Bailey and their son Halo.

The restraining order and custody agreement will remain in place until a formal court hearing scheduled for June 4.

Bailey, 25, is also asking that DDG be restricted from visiting their son unsupervised. She requested that if visits are allowed, they be supervised once a week for six hours by a professional agency while Halo is in Los Angeles. Additionally, she’s seeking court orders to prevent DDG from taking Halo outside of Los Angeles County without permission or applying for a passport in his name.

In court filings, Bailey described repeated incidents where she felt unsafe, claiming DDG has threatened to take or hide Halo and refused to cooperate on parenting matters. She recalled an altercation where she says DDG pulled her hair, slammed her face into a steering wheel, and chipped her tooth—all while she was trying to discuss a visitation schedule. Their child, who was present at the time, was left in distress, according to Bailey.

“I never know when he is going to demand our son to be in his mother’s care and whether I will be subjected to his threats and abuse,” she wrote in a statement to the court.

Bailey and DDG began dating in 2022 and welcomed their son in December 2023 before quietly splitting earlier this year.
