Netflix Episode That Turned Real
The two had met for dinner and drinks in April 2024 before heading to Anderson’s house, where they reportedly watched an episode of the Netflix animated series Love, Death & Robots, a New York Post report states. Prosecutors said one of the episodes—featuring a dismembered corpse discovered on a beach—eerily mirrored the fate that awaited Robinson.
‘Sawed-off Leg’ Found On Beach
Robinson, a criminal justice student at Milwaukee Area Technical College, was last seen that evening. When she failed to show up for her pizzeria shift the next day, she was reported missing. That same day, police found a sawed-off leg on the shores of Lake Michigan, and in the days that followed, additional remains—including a foot and flesh—were recovered from different parts of the city, The Post reported.
Investigators uncovered chilling evidence on Anderson’s phone. According to The New York Post, one deleted photo showed Anderson holding Robinson’s severed right breast. Other images showed her inside his home, prompting horror in the courtroom.
“That was pretty damning evidence that shook everyone,” juror Melissa Blascoe said. “I physically felt like I was gonna throw up at that point. I know a lot of people were shaking and crying.”
Authorities also discovered what they described as a “sex dungeon” in Anderson’s basement, equipped with a “sex sling, restraints and handcuffs,” police said. The prosecution argued that Anderson had been planning the murder for months, even preparing a space lined with plastic tarps in advance.
After the killing, Anderson reportedly drove Robinson’s car around Milwaukee before setting it ablaze in North Milwaukee, according to The Post.
The 15-member jury took just 45 minutes to find Anderson guilty of first-degree intentional homicide, mutilating a corpse, hiding a corpse, and arson. Although no motive was established during the trial, Anderson now faces a mandatory life sentence. Judge Laura Crivello may also impose extended supervision.
