DDG appeared to be caught off guard during a live stream after he found out his ex, Halle Bailey, has been granted a restraining order against him over domestic abuse allegations
It’s not every day you find out your ex has been granted a restraining order via a livestreambut that was the case for rapper DDG.
The 27-year-old rapper was seemingly caught off guard while livestreaming with Adin Ross when the news broke that his former girlfriend Halle Bailey had been granted a restraining order against him. This development, which was first reported by TMZ, includes allegations of physical abuse involving the couple’s child, Halo.
Bailey, 25, has alleged the incident occurred in January when DDG visited her to pick up their one-year-old son. She claimed he became aggressive during a conversation about visitation, yelling at her and slamming her face into the steering wheel, which chipped her tooth and left bruises.

Bailey said she stayed in the car out of concern for her child’s safety and later told DDG’s family what happened. The incident prompted her to submit photos of her injury along with a restraining order request.
The court granted the order, requiring DDG to stay 100 yards away, banning him from discussing her or their child online, and allowing Halle to take the child to Italy for a two-month film shoot
When Bailey’s restraining order was announced, DDG and Ross were live streaming from a clothing store. Footage showed both visibly reacting to the news.
DDG appeared stunned and silent, while Ross tried to console him, saying, “DDG is a good guy, and this is all fake narratives.”
The duration of the restraining order has not yet been disclosed, and it remains unclear whether the I’m Geekin rapper will speak out about it.
The judge ordered DDG, whose legal name is Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., to stay away from Bailey and their 17-month-old son, Halo, until a June 6 hearing.
“Throughout our relationship,” Bailey said in documents requesting the order, “Daryl has been and continues to be physically, verbally, emotionally, and financially abusive towards me. I am seeking orders to protect myself and our son Halo from his ongoing abuse.”
The pair was in a relationship starting from 2022 until last year, and since their breakup, there have been “multiple acts of physical violence,” Bailey claimed.
In the January incident, she recounted how DDG repeatedly called her a “b—h” as she tried to strap their baby boy into a seat inside his car.
“The next thing I knew, things got physical between us,” Bailey said in the documents. “We fought each other, wrestling and tussling. At one point, Darryl was pulling my hair. He then slammed my face on the steering wheel, causing my tooth to get chipped. I then stopped fighting back as I was in a lot of pain.”
Then, in March, she said DDG entered her house when she wasn’t home and texted her a photo of her bed along with a threatening message suggesting she was having sex with other men.
A few days later, Bailey claimed he berated her when she did not want to send their sick baby on a visit with him, and smashed the Ring camera on her porch when he realized it was recording the confrontation.
She said when she called a relative for help, he took her phone and got into his car, slamming the door on her as she was holding the baby.
The Little Mermaid star also requested that Granberry be ordered to stop using his streaming platforms on Twitch and YouTube to turn his followers against her.
“Whenever he wishes to cause upset, he starts bad mouthing me to his several millions of fans,” she said in the documents, adding: “He claims I am withholding our son and that I am with other men. As a result, I then receive threats and hate on social media.”
