Soleil L. Jacques, 19, was arrested on drug-dealing charges after cops found him in possession of a large number of THC vapes, a suspicious number of cell phones and someone else’s credit card.
It was just after 2 p.m. April 17 when a Maricopa police officer stopped Jacques at the corner of Porter Road and Maricopa-Casa Grande Highway for speeding, according to a probable cause statement released yesterday.
The fuzz sent out K9 cop Karma for an open-air sniff test of the vehicle. She alerted to the smell of narcotics.
During a consensual search of his person, officers found Jacques holding three Geek Bar nicotine vapes and multiple THC cartridges. These devices are illegal to possess under age 21 (Esteban Valenzuela, 16, is said to have been murdered in Maricopa in November over a THC vape sale gone wrong).
Officers then searched Jacques’s car and found four cell phones, multiple empty boxes of THC cartridges, more full THC cartridges, $92 cash and a CashApp card under the name Terrance Miller.
Jacques told officers that he does not have a job and all the illegal (for a 19-year-old) items the police found were for his own personal use.
Jacques, who had no prior criminal record, was arrested and booked into the Pinal County jail on one felony charge of possessing marijuana for sale. He faces a year and a half in prison.
