CNN ripped after trashing FBI as ‘juvenile’ for branding hate-fueled Colorado firebomb attack as terrorism

An Arkansas police chief was arrested Monday after a multi-agency investigation into allegations of child sexual abuse.

SHARP COUNTY, Ark. — The Sharp County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of Hardy Police Chief Scott Rose on Monday after a coordinated, multi-agency investigation into child sexual abuse allegations.

At the end of March, Sheriff Shane Russell received information about allegations against Rose—initiating a preliminary investigation assigned to Lieutenant Cham Buchanan.

After interviewing individuals who might have had first-hand knowledge, investigators found that the information appeared unsubstantiated and based on rumor.

After interviewing the alleged victim and her family, information was revealed about incidents of sexual contact and other forms of abuse that had not been reported.

Assistance from external agencies was requested to ensure transparency and impartiality due to the involvement of a government official and the gravity of the allegations.

After the request was made, the Federal Bureau of Investigation contacted Russell and Buchanan about a related report, in turn leading to a joint, multi-agency investigation.

The investigation led to the arrest of Rose on June 2, 2025. Rose was charged with sexual assault, sexual indecency with a child, endangering the welfare of a minor and knowingly furnishing alcohol to a minor.

This is an ongoing investigation and we will update this article as more information is released.
