
Anyone who owned an Apple product equipped with Siri now has less than two months to file a claim for a $95 million class action lawsuit against the company.
Settled in December, plaintiffs in the lawsuit allege that the tech giant recorded and shared conversations after Siri, the digital assistant program included with Apple devices, was unintentionally activated.
According a website with information about the lawsuitanyone “whose confidential or private communications were obtained by Apple and/or were shared with third parties as a result of an unintended Siri activation,” between Sept. 17, 2014 and Dec. 31, 2024, can file for the settlement.
Anyone interested in filing a claim has until July 2 to do so.
To file, those interested should head to the lawsuit’s websiteselect “submit a claim” from the bar at the top, and follow the steps outlined.
The lawsuit website states that those whole file should expect to receive around $20, but that might change depending on how many claims are filed.
Apple has denied doing anything “improper or unlawful” in this settlement.
