Apple, Manager Reach Settlement in Age Discrimination Lawsuit

Apple Inc. and a senior manager in his sixties reached a settlement in a lawsuit alleging that the company denied him an $800,000 retention bonus because of his age.

The parties reached a settlement after a Feb. 6 conference, and executed the agreement effective April 22, they told Judge Edward J. Davila of the US District Court for the Northern District of California in a Wednesday joint status update. Terms of the settlement weren’t made available.
