ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – A St. Louis County judge has declined to issue a restraining order against St. Louis City Sheriff Alfred Montgomery.
Montgomery’s former deputy, Darryl Wilson, asked the judge to grant a restraining order, alleging a trend of harassment. Wilson now works for the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office.
Wilson alleged that Montgomery had shown up at his new jobs twice since he left the St. Louis City Sheriff’s Office. The most recent incident happened on April 16.
On MondayMontgomery took the stand, stating he was visiting St. Louis County Sheriff Scott Kiefer about Wilson allegedly horse-playing in city government buildings with a firearm on his person and recruiting city deputies to the county.
Wilson’s attorney Bobby Bailey told First Alert 4 Investigates that Sheriff Montgomery’s team “misrepresented facts” in court on Monday.
Wilson was the former sheriff’s deputy whoalleges the sheriff took his firearm back in January. An incident that the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Departmenttold First Alert 4 was turned over to the FBI for investigation.
First Alert 4 has reached out to both sides for comment regarding the judge’s decision to decline a restraining order and will update this story once they are received.
