Fire and rescue crews from across the area spent Tuesday searching through woods and swamps, battling the heat to look for Clay.

“We’re battling extreme heat. Obviously, that’s our big limiting factory today, and obviously our big concern for Robert right now,” Bronson said.

K-9 units, drones and even a Massachusetts State Police helicopter have also joined the search.

Mindy McAvoy, Clay’s daughter, is anxious to find her father.

“I just want somebody to find him before it’s too late,” she said. “It’s really, really hot. I don’t know where he could be. We’ve checked everywhere we can think of.”

Investigators plan to pick up the search with more people Wednesday morning.

Anyone with information about Clay’s whereabouts is asked to call state police at 603-223-4376.
