A man from Jackson has admitted to violating a restraining order by breaking into a home and attacking his wife.

Ocean County prosecutors say Manuel Fernandez broke into the home on Buttonwood Drive one night in May.

He kicked down the bedroom door and began to assault the victim. Authorities say she was able to fight him off and call police.

Fernandez is scheduled to be sentenced in three weeks. He faces up to 5 years in prison.
