
Kirkland Police are investigating an animal abuse case in Clark Mills.
CLARK MILLS, N.Y. — Kirkland Police are investigating after a Pit Bull mix was found emaciated and dehydrated at a home on Pratt Avenue in Clark Mills back on May 16.
Police tell NEWSChannel 2 there was no food or water for the dog to sustain life.
Police added that they have a suspect and are working on getting that suspect to cooperate with them.
The dog, now named Rhett, was taken to the vet for emergency care.
Veterinarians said he was days from death.

Rhett has needed blood transfusions and 24/7 care.
