Nigerians have had different encounters with the Nigeria Police – some positive, some negative. Some real, some perceived! From prolonged detention to harassment, extortion, use of excessive force, etc., many citizens have turned to social media to voice their frustrations. While these online conversations underscore the urgency of enhanced police accountability and transparency, they often leave one question unanswered: Who polices the police?

The CRU serves as a direct channel for citizens to report cases of abuse, corruption, and unethical behavior within the force, ensuring that grievances do not go unheard.

Therefore, if you have ever experienced police misconduct, don’t suffer in silence – report to the Nigeria Police Complaint Response Unit (CRU)! The era of injustice is over – accountability, integrity and justice start now!
