Search underway for missing man last seen in Carteret County

The Carteret County Sheriff’s Office is actively searching for Jacob Aaron Sharpe, a 27-year-old white male, who has been reported missing. Sharpe, who stands 6 feet tall and weighs approximately 160 pounds, has brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and gray shorts.

Sharpe was last known to be in the vicinity of White Oak Shores RV Park, located at 400 Wetherington Landing Road, at midnight on May 25, 2025. He reportedly left the area on foot, and his direction or destination of travel remains unknown.

Authorities have entered Sharpe into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) as a missing person. The Carteret County Sheriff’s Office urges anyone with information regarding Sharpe’s whereabouts to contact the Carteret County Emergency Communications Center at 252-726-1911. No further details are available at this time.
