Brescia fans are in uproar after patron Massimo Cellino failed to cover outstanding debts, so the club will be declared bankrupt.

It means Brescia are now set to be declared bankrupt and begin again, if someone wants to take over, from Serie D.

This is the end of the road for the current club, which was formed 114 years ago.

There is still a possibility they could find new patrons ready to take over the side from Cellino and start from Serie C, although time is running very short for that too.

It is the latest chapter in a controversial football career for Cellino, who was at the helm of Cagliari from 1992 to 2014.

He had a brief spell at Leeds United in England from 2014 to 2017, then returned to Italy for Brescia that summer.
